Happy holidays everyone,
My wife bought me a Alcione SL Sport for Christmas. The only problem is I shoot LH and it is cast for RH. Very nice looking w/ 20ga barrel set. Since I have only shot semi auto, how much different is this off cast going to make.
I called Franchi and they indicated 3-4 months for LH model and the dealer wants a 30% restocking charge. Can a gunsmith bend the stock or any other alternatives avaliavle.
Thanks and be safe tonight.

Hey Boat Doc,
Ugly as sin and can't cook or back a boat. I got the good one. Backs a boat better than most men and can walleye and bass fish to boot.
Happy New Year

Hey walleye 1, to bad about your sister inlaw, i was just thinking what it would be like to get a new over under shotgun from the wife for x-mas,wow all I got is a fuel pump for my P/U.And I have to install it this weekend . 15 deg. and 5 inches of new snow at the moment, its not all bad.geter-done. I take it you do a little walleye fishing, are you on the tour or fish any tournes.they are real big back here right now. well you have a wonderfull and safe new year.

Well Walleye1 isn't the only one that was smiled apon by the gods, and blessed with a good wife. My wonderful wife bought me a 712 Raptor for Christmas.
Walleye, sorry to hear about your lefty vs. righty issue. I've never had an o/u so I'm not sure what the implications are for a left handed model. Is it just the stock that's different? If so can you just order a lefty stock from Franchi? Probably would be cheaper than the 30% restocking fee. (Thats rediculous!!! What is that, about $450?) If it's just the stock that different, you should just buy the stock from Franchi. Besides, having both stocks would also make it a lot easier to sell if you ever wanted to.

I have an alcione sx with 12 and 20 gauge barrels. I am also left handed. My gun was cast nutral and it fits me perfect. You should sholder the gun and have someone at your club check you for fit. If it fits, don't worry about it! If not, see if your shop can swap it out or have it fitted to you.
Regardless of the amount of money spent, if the gun doesn't fit, you won't shoot well.
