Does anyone know how you purchase the replaceable side plates for the Alcione SL. The catalog shows them but doesn't give any indication of how they are attached or how to purchase them.

Hi jaiello - You can either purchase them through your dealer or call customer service ( I recommend this over e-mail to them ) and they can put you in touch with them.
good luck

Thanks, I'll call customer service. Do you know how the sideplates attach to the gun. I couldn't find any obvious attachment screws?

Birddog:
I took your advice and called customer service. They advised me the sideplates cost $130 of any type. They slide on the gun after removing the stock. It is aslo best to have the dealer do the installation.
Thanks,
John

No prob John..
glad I could help.. and thanx for posting your results for all to share.
I've had my SL-12 Sporting going on 7 or 8 years and it's been a great gun.
The SX incorporates the same sideplate system also. So this tells you the fitting tollerences in which Franchi has kept true to over the years...
and things are only getting better with the introduction of new lines.
take care.
