Besides the obvious almost 1 lb difference between these two guns in 20 gage w/ 26" barrel, are there any other issues of concern?

What about titanium vs. aluminium and the durability of the aluminium? I was told that aluminium was a softer metal and may wear faster than the titanium, but is that worth the extra 1 LB!?

I am an upland bird hunter and duck hunter, so the weight is an issue, but I also want a gun that I can will to my kids.

Please advise.

Hi Irish - You'll be able to will either of those guns to your kids. I've got two Franchi aluminum recievered guns in the Alcione Sport SL-12 and the Veloce Squire 20/28 set. I have the same thing in mind when I buy guns too. My Grandfather was the one who made me think about that same thing when I recieved a few of his shotguns. I think He'd be happy with purchases I've made in the Franchi/Benelli/Beretta lines.

as usual.. take care of them and they'll be around to hand to the next generation with confidence.

Good Luck
