I am 16 years old looking for an o/u to primarily shoot skeet/trap with but I intend to hunt with it in the future. I am agreeing not to drive (so my parents dont have to insure me) in return for the money they would spend insuring me. So, cash is not an issue. However, I am curious if those who own Alciones are satisfied, and if anyone has shot a Cynergy Sporting, what they feel about it and which they would prefer.

Riflemen,
The best way I know to answer your question, is to tell you to put your hands on them and, if you can, try them. With a shotgun, fit is everything. I purchased an Alcione field gun a couple years ago simply because it fit so perfectly. But I also have a Browning Ultra Sporter and like that as well.
I have not handled a Cynergy, but the looks don't get me too excited. I'd rather go more traditional such as the 525 or Lightning models or the Alcione. That said, looks don't break targets. The Alcione does give you the ability to switch to a 20 ga barrel fairly reasonably for $400 extra. Good luck with your choice.

Good advice Bill. Fit and feel should be your first concerns Rifleman.
I have an Alcione Sport and cherish the gun for how it comes up and mounts .. Like butter! The Alcione platform is a solid one. I wouldn't worry a second about it if it fits and feels right. The ejectors are machined right tight and work perfect but need to be clean for them to 'pop' the shells into your chest. I made a mistake and used too much grease on them which will cause anything to foul-up faster - a light application works best.
As for the new Cynergy, I've shot a few boxes of shells out of the 28" field model and it felt pretty good. Ejectors were great and the new styling is fine with me .. just think the acid wash swooshes on the reciever make it look a bit stupid though but thats my opinion.
...satisfied with my Alcione?... I wouldn't trade it for any other gun - it's my pet. I hunt with it too.

Riflemen those guys are fit is it . I tried different guns at the club I joined before I bought my auto. But I own the alcione sport with a 20ga set they works great and feel the same 'other than the length' .Hunt with it ? of course I dont have them to look at . Though when you shoot crappy you have something to admire:)

Well, im only 16 so I haven't been around classic looking shotguns long enough to have a set view of them. I personally like the look of the Cynergy from the pictures I have seen, however once I can find someone who stocks them I intend to go get a feel for them.
Thanks for the advice.
