I just bought a new 912 and was wandering about the VarioSystem that it has. I noticed a rubber washer and was wandering what exactly this was for. Is it suppose to be on the collar or is it used as a bumper for the collar. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Have a Great Day

chief,
the rubber washer goes on the magazine tube between the piston and the barrell ring. It is there to ensure a good gas seal and to keep the piston from slamming into the barrell ring causing potential damage to either component. It is a wise idea to take that o-ring/washer to the nearest hardware store and buy a couple more, as harsh conditions can cause it to break. Storing the extra o-rings in a light gun oil or even light coating of vaseline on them in a zip lock bag in your gun case is a good idea. I have owned my 912 for only a few months but have put many rounds through it and have had no problems. Congrats on a great buy and good luck.

Chief,
I also have put many rounds through my 912, in the past 6 months, and have had no problems with the o-ring, but I do have a spare if mine happens to malfunction, but I am not worried about it breaking. Hope you enjoy your like I have mine.
