Switching The Safety

Has anyone tried to switch around the safety to left hand use on the franchi 48AL? Can it be done?

Well I got tired of waiting for an answer here. I took the safety out of the gun and found that it was possible to reverse the safety. All it required was a small amount of filing so that the trigger would pass the block on the left side when put in reversed ( the non red side). It now works like a charm in lefty. Matched right to the trigger housing flush. Reblued and like new. Can be reverted back to right handed without a problem. The pin side was ok and needed no work. Lined up perfectly. Still trying to figure out how the bolt handle comes out so that I can clean the gun with the bolt out
