Thanks tj! That really sucks to think that it isn't back bored but a Mossberg 935 that cost's 200 less is.

Back boring is very over rated.

Benelli and Berettas are not back bored.

The Beretta extreme has a larger bore size than the Urika or tenkys but is not back bored.

Back boring, is marginally helpful if at all when shooting a flying target it is suppose to lessen shot string but really does little to decrease shot string.

For Turkey hunting shot string is of no concern at all so back boring would not be of any help at all.

Back boring is supposed to lessen recoil but most don't notice a difference after having it done. Also a turkey load will kick no matter what.

Also mosbergs are not back bored they are built with a larger bore diameter.

A larger bore diameter in the mossberg or Beretta extreme will give better patterns with large shot like BB, BBB and T shot but other than that it does not help much with smaller shot. Mossberg uses it as a marketing ploy since they are lower grade guns.

You have bought a great gun for a great price just enjoy it.

another disadvantage of overbored guns is that you cannot fire deer slugs through them.
i cant fire deer slugs in my Gold Stalker but i can in my SBE.
i like the gold, but the overbore makes it less versitle.
