I received as a gift a 20 guage (IC) semi-automatic shotgun and am trying to find some information about it.
The left side barrel has "S.A. Luigi Franchi Brescia Made in Italy," while the right side says "Stoeger Arms Corporation New York."
The left side is hand-engraved with a retriever flushing partridge and the right side is several pictures of a dove. The trigger guard also has a dove on perch, with the initals "LCH" (which I assume is the engraver). All raised portions of the engravings are gold-colored metal.
The hand-grip is walnut with carved oak leaves/acorns and the stock is a large picture of a retriever with a dove in its mouth.
There is no model name/number but the serial number is 53723. The gun has obviously been well used but also well cared for.
Any information about history, age, and monetary value would be greatly appreciated.
