How does the quality of the Veloce O/U compare to Browning Citori's? I'm looking at a 20 ga. model, with coin and gold finish, new for $975 at the dealer. This is quite a discount from the MSRP of $1440....is this a great deal or do Franchi's not hold their value?

Has anyone bought or fired this gun? Thanks.

I would doubt that the Franchi O/U holds its value as well as a Citori. I have both and would not part with either of them, so I'll never know. I really like my Franchi Alcione Field gun but I don't expect it to hold up as well as the Citori. I use the Citiori for target shooting and the Franchi for hunting. It should last a lifetime at least for that purpose.

I suggest you pick up a copy of the Gun Trader's Guide. It is a wonderful reference.
