I'm in the market for a new gun. I've had all of the other B's (Benelli, Beretta and Browning). I do a lot of duck and goose hunting. I like the prices of the Franchi's, which gun do you recommend? Preferably a semi-auto.

I've got the Variomax 912. It's a great gun. Feels great, reliable, and you just cant beat tha price for a fine Italian auto. So far I've had no probs with it. Heck it's never had any problems with the light loads and thats one thing that alot of 3 1/2 auto shooters have trouble with.

Next on the old gun list is a Benelli M1, I can't wait to buy me one!

I do a lot of all types of shotgun hunting...squirrels, rabbits, dove, turkey and possible deer if I do not use a rifle. With the advent of magnum 3" shells and the loads they have come out with which include up to 2oz of shot for my use I do not see the need for a 3-1/2" chambered gun. This is just my opinion.

Joe i think you should get the timber 612 or 620 but if you want a good durable gun you should get a mossberg 500 marine made of stainless steel and its less than 600 dollers
