Greetings!

Bought two packs with five in each Winchester 1 oz #rifled slugs (X123RS15). I'm just wondering, since I've never fired a slug in my life, if the rifled ones will work fine with my the stoeger m2000 slug barrel ? also since I got two springs for my stoeger I'm woundering if I should use the one for light loads or the one for heavy loads (the manual dosen't say) and I couldent tell if 1 oz meant the slug weight or the amount of gun powder.

best regards,
Lalle

News!

the slugs preformed good in the slug barrel, the kick was fairly heavy but not painfull. the hits wore more than acurate enught, hit a 10x10cm wood block on 20meters distance. witch spit the block into two parts.

only downside was that the slugs generated alot of lead waste in the barrel, think its due to the slug being rifled.

best regards,
Lalle

the slug weighs 1 oz. is your slug barrel smooth bore or do you have the riffled barrel. if you have the riffled then you should shoot sabots. i have a rifled choke tube for my smooth bore barrel that helped accuracy tremendously

What is the difference between a smoothbore slug barrel and a regular barrel, with an open choke?

As far as the springs youre talking about. if you are refering to the washers in the forend, they have nothing to do with the load youre shooting. They are both to be used no matter what you are firing. They are spacers designed to keep tension between the forend and the barrel so the mag cap has something to tighten against.
