Stoeger 2000 question/concern...

I am still interested in getting a model 2000 for duck hunting. But from what I have been reading I'm still not sure.

I am not real familiar with the workings nor have I ever owend an autoloader. I am fairly certain that I don't want a gas opperated gun but I can't spend $1200 right now.

I want to make sure I can get a manual for my gun so I can at least attempt to learn about it/take it apart and clean it. I would not even know how to get the packing grease of everything and get it ready for season.

From what I have guessed, is that Stoeger does not have a manual for the model 2000. Is this true and would anyone have any recommendations as to other autoloaders or are there other manuals available?

i havent been able to get my m2000 from the gunstore since we have
a nasty snow storm here in sweden. but ill hopeflly get it before
the weekend.

stoeger still dosent have a manual avalable for download. but if
im not wrong the m2000 comes with a manual, ive read about ppl
quoteing ther manual regarding what loads of shells would be
sutable for brakeing in ther weapons.

prehaps some of the ppl allready owning m2000 with digital cameras
could throw together a good user guide that might solve questions
the owners manual dosent answer.

Yes,your new gun should come with a manual in the box.If it is by chance missing a phone call to stoeger should get you one.I have called or emalied several manufacturers over the years after purchasing used guns, and they have all sent me manuals for free.

Thanks for the info. I guess I have seen a few post from people that bought their gun from Dick's and it did not include a manual. I could not imagine a gun with a manual but you never know...

Not to worry, the model 2000 comes with a manual. Mine did! and they are quite easy to disassemble, clean and reassemble. I'm very happy with mine.

I comes with everything you need,manuel,chokes,choke wrench and maybe oil.
You can always get a lemon so I won't jinx you by recommending it.
I'll just say mine has been a good gun and I've shot 100's of duck loads thru it. I've been in sub zero weather, I haven't shot many if any light loads in it. It's been strictly a duck gun.
It was my first auto and a darn good one at that.
