i have just bought a new 2000 26" deluxe and i am waiting (impatiently) for it to arrive. i was needing some info about what is involved to get the gun ready to use when it gets here. this is the first new shotgun i have bought and i know about the break-in procedures for new rifles was wondering if there was the same for new shotguns. any help is appreciated. thanking you in advance. bydandy

The manual recommends firing 3 to 4 boxes of heavier loads first. I did that and shoot mostly 1oz. loads now. never had a misfeed. Don't know if the breakin is absolutely necessary on every gun, but if you get one that was made on the tight side of the tolerances it would help. And if you have a problem the first thing the factory guy is gonna ask you is if you did it. I always like to follow instructions while something is under warranty-makes- life easier.
