shot my gun for the first time...problems

so i was shooting and i switched the selector on the safety all the way to the right side. so the single dot was all the way to the right. when i did that it would shoot the bottom barrel, but not the top at all. i would pull the trigger once and it would shoot, and i would pull it again and it wouldn't shoot again. after a couple of those i moved the selector all the way to the left so the double dots were to the far left. when i did that it shot both barrels. whats goin on?

besides that i was awsome though and i out shot my roomate who shoots a perazzi...no big deal ;)

when you tried to fire the top barrel after the bottom did the firing pin leave a mark on the primer, my supreme did that and was sent back to the service center and they fixed that, did take two trips -- when you did the inital cleaning did you pull off the stock and clean the inside of the action??? could be a bit of cosmolene in there but if the top fires first and not after the bottom might just need a little breaking in or a little bit fo tuning up--and those high dollar guns--well shoot a pattern board and compare---the stoeger is pretty impressive with the way tha5t they make their barrels--know a gunsmith?? when i sent mine back for service i was pleased with their turn around time at the factory service center
