try to clean after every 100 shots, make sure the chokes are tight, the gun should be stiff and hard to close, but after 300-400 rounds it should become smooth.

Thanks for the reply and the tip. Do you reload your own shells?
Thanks

Allan,
Take it apart and give it a thorough cleaning before you ever fire a shot. The guns are shipped from the factory with a thick coating of protective "grease" often referred to as cosmoline. Spray brake cleaner you can get at the automotive store works great to clean, but lubricate immediately after using the brake cleaner. Also, the brake cleaner will damage the wood finish, so be careful.
Just make sure all the cosmo is cleaned off before you shoot.
You don't have to go to extreme and take the stock off and clean the action.
The area where the gun breaks open has a hinge pin. Put some sort of lubricant such as wheel bearing grease or motor oil on ths hings. Always keep it lubricated and clean. For break-action guns, this is important.
See another thread on this forum where fezman has a bunch of excellent photos about assembling a condor. Great info, thanks to fezman.
I like to use RemOil and spray all the exterior metal surfaces before I put the gun away, or if it's going to be wet when I'm out hunting.
I've also had good luck with Birchwood-Casey Gun Stock Wax. I use it on both the metal and wood parts, but avoid getting it on the crosshatching. Hard to get out.
Good luck!
Tim
