Can anybody tell me where I can find a replacement stock for my Stoeger? It's a double barrel SxS 20 gauge? I would also like to know a little about the gun if anybody can tell me. It was given to me when my grandfather died. (I didn't know he had it.) The metal is in pristine condition. The stock has been broken completely off at the grip. The forearm shows a little wear. On the underside, behind the trigger-guard it says "Sterling Woptins" (I think). Serial #1655xx. It is really beautiful and I want to put a new stock on it. Can anybody help? Thanks a lot!

the only thing i can sugest is maby talk to a gun smith that is good with shot guns/rifles maby he could make you one or fit somthing else to it im shure some one makes blank stocks. i know a company that will make you an adjustable stock for any thing for a price.

I agree with fezman, the chances of you finding a used one is next to nill. It sounds like the gun is in good condition and probably worth the money and sentimental value to send it out and have a specialist work up a new stock.

One thing i suggest trying is looking up a member of the American Custom Gun Makers Guild. The people in this organization are dedicated to quality. Consider the fact that it'll fit the gun right and checkered the way you want it not to mention you'll be able to have the stock made to fit you as well.

Try Brownell's or Numrich.

I think Numrich is www.e-gunparts.com (http://www.e-gunparts.com)

What you have is a common problem with the Stoeger stocks, so you would better off to have somebody else replace it.
