HiViz Sight for Stoeger 2000

Has anyone tried to replace the stock sight on their Stoeger 2000 with a HiViz sight, such as their CompSight model? From what Stoeger customer service tells me the stud for the sight is 2.5mm X .45mm. HiViz doesn't list that stud size. Can anyone help me out here? :confused: Thanks.

Steve, the thread pitch on the bead sight is a 3-56. Tru-glo offers this pitch as well as some other manufacturers. If you are looking for something that slides on the rib it is 8mm. If you deside just to change the bead sight, you may notice that the thread in the replacement site is too short. Just take somthing and fill the hole on the rib a little(i.e. a small piece of paper and some blue locktite to hold the site in place.) Hope this helps.
