I just purchased a new Stoeger 2000 yesterday and am having problems. I want to see if anyone else has had this and can advise what to do. I took it to the clays course today and fired 100 rounds of Winchester AA, 1-1/8 oz. loads. I experienced about 15 to 20 jams with cycling the round from magazine to chamber. I know there is supposed to be a break in period, but that seems extreme. What can I do?

I purcahsed a model 2000, and the man said to clean out the packing grease before using. it is a heavy, sticky grease to prevent rust and coroosion during shipping. I cleaned mine and replaced the grease with oil, and its working fine.

- Is it a Camo gun?

I suggest you:
- Break it down and make sure the barrel is in all the way.
- Open/Close the action about 200 times.
- Remove packing grease.
- Oil with a light coat of gun oil.
- Break in takes about 200-300 rounds.

Hopefully this helps.

It is a Camo Gun. I am planning to degrease it and put oil on it this evening then try it again. Hope it works.
