Cannot tell from website it the Model 2000 comes in a lefthanded model. Anyone know? Also, how is the recoil. I understand it uses the Benelli technology and is supposed to be pretty good.

Battsman,

The Stoeger 2000 does not come in a left-hand model. I know this because I am a lefty and I wrote Stoeger with this very question. As far as the recoil, it kicks more than I expected. But maybe that says more about my 50 year old shoulder than it does about the gun. I put a slip-on pad on it. It helps. I would guess that with heavier clothes I will not feel the recoil (even with heavier loads) -- especially if I am concentrating on hitting some birds!

I like the gun. I puchased it back in late May. This will be my first season hunting with it.
