Assistant Technical Service Manager

Benelli USA located in Pocomoke, Maryland is seek a experienced Assistant Technical Manager. SUMMARY Repairs and modifies firearms by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Fits action and barrel into stock and aligns parts. Installs parts such as metallic or optical sights, pistol grips, recoil pads, and decorative pieces of firearms. Operates machine to grind and polish metal parts. Immerses metal parts in bluing salt bath to impart rust resistant surface and blue color to metal. Refinishes wooden stocks for rifles and shotguns by hand sanding and rubbing with special finishing oil and quick drying lacquer. Use PC with Excel, e-mail, Word along with inventory and sales program to track and record repairs and communicate with other departments Clean and inspect firearms before and after use in shows and events Disassemble, Clean and Reassemble different models of firearms Troubleshoot and repair common problems Document work done by writing concise description of repairs Coordinate with Technical Services Manager to determine warranty responsibility for firearm malfunctions and/or damage Fire firearms with test loads to determine proper functioning and correct alignment, of barrel Perform maintenance and cleaning for work area, equipment, and tools Mandatory over-time, at the discretion of the company, is part of the job requirements. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES - Assist Technical Services Manager with day to day operations of the repair shop. Responsible for shop and personnel in Technical Services Managers absence QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: College degree preferred---min 4yrs-bench experience in a general repair shop. 2 Years minimum supervisory experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must speak fluent English MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic math knowledge REASONING ABILITY: Good troubleshooting skills are an essential part of the job PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
