Benelli USA located in Pocomoke, MD seeks experienced gunsmith.
General Purpose: The Gunsmith will facilitate all assigned repairs and modifications needed for firearms sent in for warranty service and repair.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Trouble shoots and repair common and uncommon firearms failures and issues.
•Disassemble and reassemble different models of firearms.
•Perform function/fire test and clean to evaluate all issues with firearms sent in for repair.
•Coordinate with Gunsmith Service Manager to determine warranty responsibility for firearm failure issues and or damage.
•Install all parts needed to make repairs.
•Operate all machinery needed to facilitate repair.
•Use JDE and CSM to obtain information and to list repairs done and parts used.
•Document work done by writing concise description of repairs.
•Fully clean and inspect firearm before shipping.
•Perform maintenance and cleaning for work area, equipment and tools.
Non Essential Duties: Perform specific and delegated duties as assigned by Management.
•Help to maintain the integrity and cleanliness of the Dealer Support Center beyond the designated work area to encompass all departments in the warehouse.
Performance Measurements:
•Gunsmith must work professionally and productively showing the ability to be efficient and to utilize time appropriately.
•All work must be performed in accordance with established policies, standards and security procedures
•Good working relationships and cooperation with all managers and employees.
•Uphold the professional and business reputation of Benelli USA.
Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A
Skills Required:
•Ability to use a personal computer and related software applications to include Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
•General knowledge of Benelli USA policies and procedures.
•High organizational skills along with a better than average eye for detail.
•Ability to operate all needed tools and equipment used for firearm repair and modification.
Education and Experience Requirements: College/Trade School degree preferred or minimum 2 yrs experience in a general gunsmith repair shop. Good handwriting, phone, and computer system skills are required. Must speak, read and write fluent English.
